The University of Rochester Press and Boydell & Brewer will be attending a major scholarly conference in music from the 1st - 4th of November 2012, to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.  Three scholarly societies are joining efforts for this occasion: the American Musicological Society, the Society for Music Theory, and the Society for Ethnomusicology.  We will be displaying numerous new music-related titles, including books in our various music-related series plus titles published outside of any series.  Particularly noteworthy is the first book in the series Eastman/Rochester Studies in Ethnomusicology (edited by Professor Ellen Koskoff of the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music), entitled Burma's Pop Music Industry: Creators, Distributors, Censors by Heather MacLachlan.

The other series represented include Eastman Studies in Music, Boydell & Brewer's Music in Britain 1600-1900 and Music in Society and Culture.  Also on display will be numerous books from the Toccata Press, which the Boydell & Brewer family of publishers distribute worldwide.
